Intel Chairman Denies Rival's Antitrust Claims

Law360, New York (March 28, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- As the European Commission nears a decision in the landmark Intel-AMD case, the chairman of U.S. microchip maker Intel Corp. continued to defend the giant against allegations of anticompetitive behavior this week.

Speaking at a business forum on Tuesday, Craig Barrett showed no signs of wear when discussing the war that has traversed continents as well as years.

“We don't think we've done anything wrong,” said Barrett, Intel’s chairman and former chief executive. “We are quite confident that our business practices are quite legal."
