HP And Acer Settle Patent Suits, ITC Actions

Law360, New York (June 9, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Hewlett-Packard Co. and Acer, two of the world's largest personal computer manufacturers, have settled patent litigation pending between them in two federal courts and the U.S. International Trade Commission.

The agreement resolves all claims asserted between the parties in three separate cases in federal courts in Texas and Wisconsin and two ITC investigations, the companies said in separate announcements this week. Financial terms of the settlement were not released.
