West Coast LNG Plan Is Environmentally Sound: FERC

Law360, New York (June 9, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The U.S. Federal Energy Regulatory Commission has given its first-ever environmental go-ahead to a West Coast liquefied natural gas terminal, finding that the proposal for a facility on the Columbia River in Oregon is sufficiently careful of its natural surroundings.

The commission issued its staff's positive final environmental impact statement for the Bradwood Landing LNG Project, prepared under the National Environmental Policy Act, on Friday.
