Judge OKs Comair Plaintiffs' Bid For Punitive Cash

Law360, New York (June 10, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A judge has denied a bid by Comair Inc. to rid itself of the plaintiffs' claims for punitive damages in the litigation arising out of a 2006 Kentucky plane crash that killed 49 people.

In a ruling Friday, Judge Karl S. Forester of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky denied the airline's bid for partial summary judgment regarding punitive damages and said that a jury could consider awarding such a payout.
