Lawyer Demands Warnings On Herbalife Products

Law360, New York (June 11, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Attorney Christopher Grell announced Tuesday he would petition state authorities to force Herbalife Inc. to put warning labels on its products, one day after he launched a lawsuit blaming his client's liver damage on the products and three days after the company said that laboratory tests showed the supplements are safe.

Grell said Tuesday that in accordance with Proposition 65 – California's law establishing reporting mandates for dangerous chemical ingredients – he will issue 60-day notices to regulators, district attorneys throughout California and the state's attorney...
