WIPO Adopts Global Trademark Treaty In Singapore

Law360, New York (March 29, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- Marking what industry professionals say is a milestone in global trademark regulation, a new international treaty on trademarks has been adopted by a group of intellectual property rights experts and member states of the United Nations’ World Intellectual Property Organization.

The Singapore Treaty on the Law of Trademarks, the product of a three-week conference, updates the 1994 Trademark Law Treaty and brings it in line with the economical and technological developments of the past decade.
