Intel, Nokia, STMicro Sued Over Flash Memory Patents

Law360, New York (June 13, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Intel Corp., Nokia Corp. and five other semiconductor and telecommunications companies have been hit with a lawsuit alleging that they willfully infringed two patents covering flash memory chips widely used in cell phones.

Addison, Texas-based Fast Memory Erase LLC filed the complaint June 9 with the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas. In addition to Intel and Nokia, the suit named Spansion Inc., Numonyx BV, STMicroelectronics, Sony Ericsson and Motorola Inc. as defendants.
