Soft Patents Would Kill EU-Wide IP: Attorneys

Law360, New York (June 18, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- As the European Union steps up its focus on creating an EU-wide patent system, some are pushing for a “soft intellectual property” system. But while the single patent may be a long time coming, attorneys say the soft patent would only undermine the system they hope will eventually gel in the EU.
