Dell, Others Hooked Into Vibration-Control Patent Suit

Law360, New York (June 19, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Computer maker Dell Inc. and several makers of hard-disk drives have been rounded up in a patent infringement suit by engineering firm Convolve Inc. over technology that reduces machine vibrations.

Convolve lodged the suit in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas on Wednesday, claiming Dell, Western Digital Corp., Hitachi Ltd. and its U.S. subsidiary Hitachi Global Storage Technologies Inc. infringed at least one of the two patents at issue.
