Andrew Cuomo signed legislation[1] that will impact billing and reimbursement for some out-of-network health care services, require new disclosures from providers regarding their health plan participation status and add new rules for health plans regarding networks and reimbursement for out-of-network services. Given that the implementation date for this law is April 1, 2015, it is critical for providers and health plans[2] to create an action plan to ensure compliance with the requirements of this law....
