Mintz Levin Taps Silicon Valley, Acquires IP Boutique

Law360, New York (April 4, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- In a move to expand its West Coast footprint, Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, P.C. has acquired the Reed Intellectual Property Law Group, a small Palo Alto-based patent shop, marking the first acquisition in the Boston-based firm’s 73-year history.

The move, slated for May, will add East Coast native Dianne E. Reed, founder and managing partner of the Reed group, and approximately ten other attorneys, agents, and patent specialists, to Mintz Levin’s 90-attorney intellectual property practice.
