Shell Will Forgo 2008 Alaska Drilling

Law360, New York (June 23, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- In a move it called “disappointing,” especially in light of soaring energy prices, Royal Dutch Shell Plc announced that it would delay its controversial plan to drill for oil in Alaska's Beaufort Sea for at least another year, because a federal appeals court has yet to rule on the proposal.
