Supreme Court Takes Up AT&T Price-Squeeze Case

Law360, New York (June 23, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The U.S. Supreme Court has decided to hear a case in which AT&T Inc. is accused of using its alleged monopoly on telephone lines to subject Internet service providers to a price-squeeze in violation of antitrust laws.

The high court granted AT&T's petition for certiorari on Monday to review a U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit's decision that found a previous Supreme Court decision barred price-squeezing allegations in violation of Section 2 of the Sherman Act.
