At Least 20 IP Attorneys Defect from Clifford Chance

Law360, New York (December 15, 2003, 12:00 AM EST) -- The top fee-generating attorneys in the intellectual property practice at Clifford Chance have taken at least 18 attorneys with them to rivals Kaye Scholer and Hogan & Hartson, leaving the world’s largest law firm badly bruised.

Within days in early December, the top IP attorneys at Clifford Chance’s New York offices left the firm, citing attractive opportunities at rival firms. The two teams said they left independently, and that they maintained a good relationship with their former employer.
