Federal Circuit Rejects Appeal Over Printer Ribbon

Law360, New York (June 27, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit has rejected a bid by Fargo Electronics Inc. to overturn the partial summary judgment granted to a former distributor in their battle over two patents covering printer ribbon supply rolls.

The Federal Circuit sided with distributor Iris Ltd. on Friday, affirming a Minnesota district court's ruling that Fargo's patents were invalid and not infringed.
