Wyeth Sues Biovail Over ANDA For Effexor

Law360, New York (June 30, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Wyeth has accused Biovail Corp. of infringing patents related to Effexor, opening yet another battlefront in the patent litigation over the company's blockbuster depression and anxiety treatment.

Wyeth's suit, filed Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware, claims the Canadian generics maker's application for regulatory approval to sell a generic version of Effexor infringed three of Wyeth's patents.
