Deals Rumor Mill: KKR & Co., Macquarie, Moelis Capital

LP may soon make an offer to buy the U.K. assets of European cement makers Holcim Ltd. and Lafarge SA, and bankers apparently are very interested in helping come up with more than £1 billion ($1.51 billion) of debt financing for the private equity firm, according to a Friday report from Reuters. The two companies' U.K. assets are on sale in order to ease regulatory concerns related to the cement makers' planned merger, which will create a single entity boasting $44 billion in annual sales. According to Friday's report, bids for the assets are due next week. The identities of the bankers that may assist in coming up with the debt financing were not revealed....
