Law360, New York (July 02, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- One of three lawyers accused of keeping millions of dollars meant for plaintiffs in a class action settlement over the diet drug fen-phen has been acquitted, but a federal jury is still deliberating on the fate of the two other lawyers.
A Covington, Ky., jury acquitted 77-year-old Melbourne Mills on Tuesday of one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud, according to a verdict form filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky.
