LAX Hilton Seeks To Stop Living Wage Ordinance

Law360, New York (July 2, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A Los Angeles hotel filed suit in the city's Superior Court late Tuesday to block a city ordinance requiring hotel operators near the airport to pay their employees a “living wage.”

The Los Angeles Airport Hilton Hotel and Towers is asking the Los Angeles Superior Court for a temporary restraining order to stop the Airport Hospitality Enhancement Zone from going into effect, and for the court to ultimately strike down the ordinance. A hearing on the temporary restraining order is scheduled for Thursday.
