Daiichi Sankyo's Patent Suits V. Mylan Combined

Law360, New York (July 3, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Daiichi Sankyo Co. Ltd.'s patent infringement suit against Mylan Pharmaceuticals Inc. over the hypertension drug Azor has been consolidated with another dispute between the companies over a related drug.

In an order filed Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, Magistrate Judge Mark Falk combined the suit with a 2006 suit over Benicar, a Daiichi Sankyo drug that contains one of the two active ingredients in Azor.
