EPA Deputy Accuses Cheney Of Withholding Info

Law360, New York (July 9, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A former U.S. Environmental Protection Agency official has accused the office of U.S. Vice President Richard Cheney of suppressing information about global warming posing a health risk.

Cheney's office suppressed an important Environmental Protection Agency finding so as not to trigger a U.S. Supreme Court mandate that the agency regulate car emissions, said Jason Burnett, formerly an associate deputy EPA administrator, in a letter to Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-Calif.).
