WTO Lambasts U.S. Anti-Dumping Calculations

Law360, New York (April 18, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- In a victory for the European Union in its battle against the United States’ anti-dumping calculations, the World Trade Organization has upheld an earlier ruling that the United States erred in its procedures and violated WTO obligations.

The earlier decision, handed down by the WTO in October 2005, related to hundreds of millions of dollars worth of anti-dumping margins calculated by the U.S. Department of Commerce using a process called “zeroing,” according to the E.U.
