Louisiana-Pacific Settles OSB Suit For $46.8M

Law360, New York (July 11, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Oriented strand board manufacturer Louisiana-Pacific Corp. has become the latest company to settle OSB antitrust allegations by agreeing to pay $46.8 million to two classes of purchasers in the consolidated litigation.

The settlement announced Thursday includes $44.5 million to go into an escrow account for the class of direct purchasers of OSB and $2.3 million to go into an escrow account for the class of indirect purchasers of OSB, according to a company statement. Both settlements are subject to court approval.
