Employment Lawyers Earn Less Than Peers: Survey

Law360, New York (July 11, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Employment practice groups at the largest 250 law firms in the U.S. are less male-dominated than other areas but are among the least well-paid, a Law360 survey has found.

The survey garnered 596 responses from employment attorneys, 47% of them women, the highest percentage of women in any practice group in the survey. Nationally, only 36% of respondents to the survey, which covered 11 practice areas, were women.
