Realtek Will Pay 3Com $70M To End Patent Suit

Law360, New York (July 14, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Realtek Semiconductor Corp. agreed to pay 3Com Corp. $70 million over the weekend to settle a dispute over network interface card patents.

The settlement closed the book on a long-running patent dispute. Marlborough, Mass.-based 3Com filed suit against Realtek, a Taiwanese corporation, in January 2003.
