“Witch Hunt” Ruined Enron: Lay

Law360, New York (April 25, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A tense second day on the stand saw Enron Corp.’s former chairman and chief executive Kenneth Lay lash out at the media, predatory short-sellers, and former chief financial officer Andrew Fastow, saying they were responsible for the company’s colossal demise.

“The Wall Street Journal was on a witch hunt for Andy Fastow and maybe Enron," Lay said.
