Lawyers Told To Pay Up Over Epic 'Sham Patent' Suit

Law360, New York (July 21, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- Finding that a patent infringement lawsuit brought by Advanced Magnetic Closures Inc. against Rome Fastener Corp. was a “colossal waste of time” predicated on a “tissue of lies,” a federal judge has found AMC and its attorneys, including Abelman Frayne & Schwab, liable for Rome Fastener's attorneys' fees in litigating the decade-long case.
