Microsoft Takes More Heat In Court From Small Rival

Law360, New York (May 1, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Less than a month after Microsoft Corp. took a $133 million hit in a patent battle with a small technology company, another tiny firm is taking aim at the software giant and a slew of other software makers, saying the companies are infringing on one of its patents covering sales system technology.

Texas-based Triton IP filed the suit late last week in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, naming Microsoft, along with Oracle Corp. and three other software companies.
