EPA Hiding Global Warming Threat: Sen. Boxer

Law360, New York (July 25, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- U.S. Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-Calif.) has said that the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s withholding of a December 2007 memo outlining the threats of global warming is an example of the agency’s “pattern of obstruction.”

Boxer, who chairs the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee, was allowed access to the EPA's “Proposed Endangerment Finding for Greenhouse Gas Emissions” for only a few hours this week, she said.

She reviewed it with two other senators as two White House lawyers stood guard, she said.
