Coca-Cola Scores Ruling, Faces New Trademark Suit

Law360, New York (July 28, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A day after a bottled water company filed a trademark infringement suit in Chicago against The Coca-Cola Co. and its Zero line of calorie-free beverages, a Georgia judge sided with Coca-Cola in a related suit.

Chicago-based Blue Springs Water Co. and President Mirza N. Baig lodged the suit Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, accusing Coca-Cola of lifting Blue Springs’ “Naturally Zero” trademark and causing confusion among consumers.
