Lawyers In Guidant Case Ask For Higher Fee

Law360, New York (July 28, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Plaintiffs law firm The Mulligan Law Firm has objected to the proposed distribution of fees in the settled multidistrict litigation over alleged defects in Guidant Corp.'s implantable defibrillators.

In its objection filed Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota, the law firm asked the court to reject the special masters' recommendations and award its contingency fee at the rate of 40%, which is what it had agreed to with its clients.
