Fla. Man Sues Banks Over Online Security Patent

Law360, New York (July 30, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A Florida man on Tuesday once again sued over a dozen of the largest banks in the U.S., including Citigroup Inc., UBS Financial Services Inc., Wachovia Corp., Wells Fargo & Co. and Comerica Inc., asserting the second of two of his patents related to secure online banking services.

Leon Stambler of Parkland, Fla., filed the complaint in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, alleging that the 18 defendants and their subsidiaries had infringed a patent for securing information.
