Class Action Against Celestica, Adecco Gains Steam

Law360, New York (August 01, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- A federal judge certified two separate classes Thursday in a wage-and-hour class action brought under California state laws against Celestica Corp., a Toronto-based global maker of electronic equipment, and Adecco USA Inc., a staffing agency.

Employees at Celestica's Fontana Calif.-based factory weren't paid while they waited in security lines to enter the workplace and weren't properly compensated for working through lunch breaks and working overtime, according to the class action, Cervantez v. Celestica Corp, filed in U.S. District Court, Central District of California.
