Coalition Backs USPTO Appeal In Rules Battle

Law360, New York (August 1, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A coalition of advocacy groups, including the Public Patent Foundation and the AARP, has filed a friend-of-the-court brief with a federal appeals court in support of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in an ongoing battle over a set of sharply contested new rules pushed by the agency as a necessary tool to streamline its processes.
