U.K. 3G Auction Delayed Again By Telecom Protests

Law360, New York (August 6, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- British communications regulatory agency Ofcom has decided to delay its auction of certain bands of the telephone spectrum for the second time as O2 Ltd. and T-Mobile Inc. continue to press legal challenges against the office's plan.

The U.K. regulator will not begin to ask for bids until after October, Ofcom announced Wednesday.

Telefonica SA subsidiary O2 and Deutsche Telekom arm T-Mobile have lodged legal protests against the agency.
