Symantec Sued Over Network Obscenity Filter

Law360, New York (August 11, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Trace-Wilco Inc. has accused security software company Symantec Corp. of infringing a patent for a program that filters offensive e-mail messages.

The complaint, filed Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, alleges Symantec manufactures, imports and sells products that infringe a method for filtering and intercepting offensive information on a network.
