Calif. Courts Aren't Strict Enough On Medical ID Theft Law

Medical identity theft is dangerous because it's not the same as identity theft dealing with a stolen credit card number where you can get another card and recoup all lost funds. Medical identity theft goes a step further by allowing thieves to steal a patient's identity to receive free medical services, buy medical products, and file false health claims with private insurers, Medicare and Medicaid....
