GlaxoSmithKline Sales Reps File FLSA Overtime Suit

Law360, New York (August 15, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Two GlaxoSmithKline Plc pharmaceutical sales representatives have accused the company of illegally classifying all of its sales representatives as exempt from overtime pay requirements.

Shane Christopher and Frank Buchanan filed the proposed class action Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona on behalf of themselves and other sales representatives in the United States. The suit claims that the company's failure to pay proper overtime violates the Fair Labor Standards Act.
