Realtors Sanctioned For 'Egregious' Misconduct

Law360, New York (August 15, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal judge has sanctioned three defendants in a long-running patent suit, including the National Association of Realtors for discovery misconduct she called “among the most egregious this court has seen.”

U.S. Magistrate Judge Elizabeth LaPorte of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California issued the ruling Tuesday, ordering the three defendants, who are represented by Alston & Bird LLP, to pay more than $250,000 in monetary sanctions to the attorneys for plaintiff Kevin Keithley.
