By Linda Chiem (June 4, 2015, 6:49 PM EDT) -- Dish Network Corp. is in talks to merge with T-Mobile US Inc. in another potential mammoth deal that suggests the recent wave of consolidation across the U.S. media and communications sectors isn't easing, The Wall Street Journal reported Thursday. The companies reportedly are in close agreement over who would be in charge of the combined company, with Dish Chief Executive Charlie Ergen becoming the combined company's chairman, while T-Mobile CEO John Legere would serve as the combined company's CEO, the WSJ said. However, the companies have not yet hammered out a potential purchase price and the mix of cash and stock that would be used to pay for such a deal. A Dish-T-Mobile combination would mark the latest multibillion-dollar combination in the media and telecommunications sectors, which have already been popping off with mega deals. Charter Communications Inc. just announced last month that it intedns to buy Time Warner Cable Inc. in a $55 billion transaction that would consolidate the second- and third-largest U.S. cable television providers. And that will be in addition to Charter's previously announced agreement to acquire Bright House Networks LLC from parent company Advance/Newhouse Partnership for $10.4 billion....
