Law360, New York (May 19, 2006, 12:00 AM ET) -- Computer software giant Microsoft Corp. lied to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office to get patents for data storage technology after stealing trade secrets, according to a patent infringement lawsuit filed by security software company Symantec Corp.
The lawsuit, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington, in Seattle, seeks unspecified damages and an injunction barring Microsoft from using technology acquired by Symantec when it acquired Veritas Operating Corp.
