U.S. Turns Up Heat In Tech Trade Fight With EU

Law360, New York (August 18, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The United States has asked the World Trade Organization to adjudicate an ongoing fight with Europe over tariffs on cable boxes, computer monitors and other high-tech goods.

The United States filed the original complaint with the WTO in May, calling tariffs levied by the European Union on the goods “protectionist gimmicks.”
