2nd Judge Tossed From Contrast Agent Case

Law360, New York (August 18, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- In an unusual twist, a second judge appointed to oversee one of the product liability suits against the makers of gadolinium-based injectable contrast agents has been forced to step down.

On Monday, U.S. District Judge Maxine Chesney of the Northern District of California revealed that she was removing herself from the case brought by Lorraine Ellen Johnson against Bayer Healthcare Pharmaceuticals Inc., with all matters expected to be handed over to a new judge immediately.
