KMPI Sues Papst Licensing Over Camera Patents

Law360, New York (August 20, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Konica Minolta Photo Imaging Inc. has fired back at German-based licensing company Papst Licensing GmbH & Co. KG, with a suit disputing allegations that the former digital camera manufacturer is infringing two patents that cover an interface device used in digital cameras.

In a complaint filed Aug. 18 in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, KMPI seeks a declaration of non-infringement by the digital camera products formerly sold by KMPI and a declaration of invalidity and unenforceability with respect to the two patents...
