Howrey Told To Produce Notes In Backdating Probe

Law360, New York (August 27, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Howrey LLP has been ordered by a federal court to hand over attorneys' notes to former McAfee Inc. General Counsel Kent Roberts to be used in his defense of civil charges stemming from the company's stock options backdating scandal.

Judge Marilyn Patel of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California on Friday directed the firm to produce written notes taken by third-party counsel in the case brought against Roberts by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
