Part 41 that define the white collar exemptions to the Fair Labor Standards Act. The proposal to more than double the salary level test comes as little surprise to those following discussions of the probable changes for the last year, but what effect that increase may have on employers and employees may be more nuanced than the "pay raise for 5 million American workers" slogan currently being ballyhooed in the media. Additionally, the DOL has left open the possibility of changing the job duties test, which could have more far-reaching implications for workforce structure than the proposed salary level increase....
