Volvo Entangled In SEC Oil-For-Food Probe

Law360, New York (May 30, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Swedish vehicle maker Volvo AB has been served with a subpoena by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, making it the latest company to come under scrutiny as the agency widens its investigation into the scandal surrounding the United Nations’ Iraq Oil-for-Food program.

Volvo revealed the order on Tuesday, acknowledging in its annual filing with the SEC that the Commission had requested documents related to the auto maker’s involvement in the now-infamous operation.
