Tessera, Patriot Memory Settle DRAM Patent Dispute

Law360, New York (September 4, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Tessera Technologies Inc. and Patriot Memory have signed a licensing agreement to end a patent spat over semiconductor technology, marking the second settlement in Tessera's wide-ranging suit.

Tessera filed the motion to dismiss charges against Patriot in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas on Wednesday, two and a half weeks after the companies announced they had reached a royalty agreement covering several of Tessera's patents for chip-scale and multi-chip packaging.
