API, Others Look To Dive Into Polar Bear Suit

Law360, New York (September 5, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The American Petroleum Institute and four other groups have asked a federal court for permission to join as intervenor defendants in a lawsuit over the polar bear’s protected status, claiming that an elevation of its status from threatened to endangered would have adverse economic effects on their members.
