Judge Certifies Class Against Home Depot Contractor

Law360, New York (September 9, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A group of truck drivers who deliver for The Home Depot has won a bid for class certification in a suit that accuses the drivers' employer, Cardinal Logistics Management Corp., of misclassifying them as independent contractors in order to avoid reimbursing them for employment-related expenses.

U.S. District Judge Samuel Conti of the Northern District of California signed an order Friday granting class certification to around 280 former and current truck drivers.
